This morning, the Indiana County Commissioners approved a resolution to apply for grant money to assist with the update to the county’s comprehensive plan.
Josh Krug with the County Office of Planning and Development said that the grant money from the state Department of Community and Economic Development’s Municipal Assistance Program Grant will pay for 50% of the cost of the update. Krug said the plan has not been updated since 2012.
Krug said once the process starts, he expects it to take a year to complete.
In other business, the commissioners approved the annual public housing agency plan from the housing authority.
