MAMDANI: TWO PA MEN ARRESTED AFTER INCIDENT INVOLVING IEDS OUTSIDE MAYOR’S RESIDENCE

The NYPD says the incident involving two improvised explosive devices at a weekend protest outside Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home is being investigated as act of ISIS inspired terrorism. Mamdani says two Pennsylvania residents are under arrest after allegedly coming to New York to bring violence. On Saturday, there was an anti-Islam protest and counter protest taking place outside Gracie Mansion where police say counter protesters tossed two devices into a crowd. The NYPD says the IEDs had dangerous material that could have caused injury and death. Those arrested face federal terrorism related charges.
