Sentencing hearings were held yesterday for an Ernest woman who faced drug charges in three cases.
The charges against 40-year-old Jade Kessler stemmed from three separate incidents in February of 2024. She was ordered in one case to serve a year of probation and to pay fines and restitution for charges of possession of a controlled substance and retail theft. In the second case, she was ordered to serve five years of probation including 16 months of house arrest for possession with intent to deliver. For the third case, she was ordered to serve six months of probation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also sentenced yesterday was 19-year-old Jordan Compton of Hardeeville, South Carolina. He was charged with carrying a firearm without a license and fleeing or eluding police in an incident on November 15th in Indiana Borough. Local police were sent out for a report of a man brandishing a firearm and engaged officers in a brief foot pursuit before he was apprehended. He will serve two years of probation total for both charges and must pay fines and court costs.
