An IUP Alum from Pittsburgh has made a $1 million contribution to the IUP Impact 150 comprehensive fundraising campaign.
The university announced yesterday that Terry Serafini, a 1961 mathematics education and physics education graduate, earmarked the donation for the proposed college of osteopathic medicine. Including this gift, Serafini has donated over $3 million to the university, with the money going towards initiatives like the IUP Food Pantry and Help Center, scholarships for students in business and mathematics, the Grant Street project and the Eberly College of Business atrium project.
With his contribution, the Impact 150 campaign is now over $102 million as of the end of 2025. The program is looking to raise $150 million in honor of the university’s 150th anniversary.
