A former Western Pennsylvania congressman is one of thousands of Americans trapped in Dubai as military conflict rages in the Middle East.
Kittanning native Jason Altmire explained the situation while appearing as a guest on CNN’s “The Lead” program earlier this week. Altmire says the U.S. State Department has advised him and others to find commercial flights to get out of the region, but that does not appear to be possible at this time.
President Trump has said no evacuation plan was implemented for Americans before the strikes on Iran because they “happened very quickly”.
