The Homer-Center School Board will meet tonight not only for a planning meeting but for a special voting session.
The voting session has one item on it: the appointment of a new board member. This time, the new member will replace Fred Hayes, who retired from the board as he was moving out of the state. This marks the second time this year the board has had to fill a vacancy. On January 8th, the board held a similar meeting to name Tory Dellafiora as a new board member. She took over for Kelly Elliot, who won the election in November. Elliot was unable to take the seat as she also was leaving the area.
The voting and planning meetings will be held tonight at 7:30.
