A man is facing charges after stealing firearms and then jumping into the Monongahela River while fleeing from police.
On Wednesday afternoon, the man, who was suspected of stealing firearms from a vehicle in a Pittsburgh parking garage, fled from police who were attempting to pull him over. After striking a pole near Station Square, the man ran from his vehicle and jumped in the river. He eventually pulled himself out of the water and was taken into custody.
Details on his identity have not been released.
