Senator John Fetterman is throwing support behind the U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran.
During an interview with CNN’s “State of the Union”, the Pennsylvania Democrat called the strikes incredibly precise and successful. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei was killed as part of the operation.
The country has since retaliated by launching attacks against Israel and U.S. bases across the Middle East.
Some citizens in Pittsburgh are speaking out against the attacks on Iran. About 50 protestors gathered at Schenley Park on Saturday to rally against what many of them referred to as an “illegal war”. In addition to Fetterman, Senator Dave McCormick has released a public statement saying he is supporting President Trump’s “Operation Epic Fury”.
U.S. Navy veteran and Western PA Congressman Chris Deluzio is calling on fellow lawmakers to reconvene in Washington and vote to put a stop to the conflict.
