The Hempfield Area School District will soon see turf installed at several of its athletic fields.
The school board on Monday night approved of converting grass playing surfaces to synthetic turf on four of its high school baseball, softball and multipurpose fields.
The project will take place in the summer and has a price tag of nearly five-point-four-million-dollars.
