From the US National Weather Service
Good morning! Here is the latest:
– The Winter Storm Warning/Advisory remain in effect east of Pittsburgh. The Warning area should see an additional 3-8″ of upslope snow today, with the higher totals on the higher peaks.
– Lowland areas, in northwest flow snow showers, may pick up another inch to perhaps two in very isolated cases.
– Wind gusts will pick up to 25-30 MPH by afternoon. A few 50 MPH gusts are possible in far eastern Tucker County, where a Wind Advisory has been issued.
The overnight snow has stuck to some roads across the region, particularly untreated side roads, bridges and overpasses. PLEASE use caution during the morning commute! Slow down and increase following distance!
