The District 6 playoffs resume tonight with the girls Triple-A and Double-A semifinals, and both of the games on our Renda Media network are all-Heritage Conference affairs.
On Renda Digital TV, the second-seeded Marion Center Stingers host the number three Cambria Heights Highlanders. The two teams played once this season, but that was all the way back on December 3rd in the conference opener, when Marion Center won, 48-39.
Stingers coach Amy Trimble says her players know to play within themselves.
Highlanders coach Eric Thomas says the keys for his team are ball control and limiting the impact of the Stingers’ Macie Miller.
You can watch the game on Renda Digital TV, with the airtime at 6:15. The other Triple-A semifinal tonight features top seed Central Cambria against number 5 Penns Valley.
In Double-A, the top-ranked Double-A Penns Manor Comets will host number 5 United. The Comets will try to shake off the rust of not having played since February 11th, while the Lions are coming off a tough road win at Bellwood-Antis last Wednesday. Penns Manor won their only meeting of the year, 36-34, on January 15th. The pregame airs at 6:45 on 92.5 FM, U92.
Number six Portage visits second-seeded Bishop McCort in the other AA semifinal.
The Double-A title game is on Thursday. The Triple-A championship will be decided Friday, with both games at Mount Aloysius College.
Tomorrow night, the district semifinals will wrap up with the Triple-A boys, where River Valley visits Bishop Guilfoyle and Forest Hills takes on Westmont Hilltop.
