UPDATE: Comcast representatives say that service has been restored to all customers that were affected by the outage. That issue was resolved within an hour of the first reports. They said the cause was due to high temperatures on the headend, but they reported no fiber damage.
WHAT WE FIRST REPORTED:
An Xfinity internet outage is affecting many customers in Indiana Borough and White Township.
Xfinity’s parent company Comcast says that the outage started at 7:25 and is affecting over 2,000 residential and business customers in the area of Chevy Chase and the northeast border area of Indiana Borough, including Your Hometown Radio Stations as the outage has caused our on-air signal to go silent.
The outage is due to network damage and is currently under investigation. Expected restoration time is 10:25 this morning.
