Thursday night, the Homer-Center School Board was presented with data about achievement and improvement in both the elementary and high schools.
Superintendent Ralph Cecere said that the presentation showed that while there are some areas that need to be brought up to district standards, the district is still doing well in the standardized tests and with their education overall.
During the meeting, the board also accepted the resignation of board member Fred Hayes, who moved out of the area on February 3rd. The district is already accepting applications to fill his seat until the end of 2027, and applications can be found on the Homer-Center website. Applications are due by February 28th and a special board meeting will be held March 5th to appoint the new board member.
