Indiana Borough Council will meet tonight for a work session and several items are on the agenda.
Included among them the preliminary approval of the proposed Sheetz redevelopment project. As part of the plans to upgrade their store, Sheetz is planning to move their facility at 4th and Philadelphia Street across the road to the former Rite Aid Pharmacy property. A few conditions do need to be met before final approval is given. Those conditions have not been announced.
Also on the agenda is approval of a notice to proceed with Gibson-Thomas Engineering to start work on Traffic signals on Philadelphia Street from 4th to 9th Streets. This includes an analysis of the plan. The traffic signal patterns are expected to be changed to make intersections in that corridor a four-way stop to allow pedestrians to cross safely.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7:00 at the Borough Council Chambers.
