Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. has released the identity of the people who died in a fire Friday morning in Clymer.
According to the report, 34-year-old Kirk Lee Fabiszewski of Clymer was trapped in the burning building with his two children, ages 4 and 7. The children’s names were not released by the coroner’s office. That fire started at 4:17 AM at the duplex at 420 Hancock Street. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but State Police have said that the fire is not suspicious in nature. Multiple fire departments were sent to the scene along with the State Police Fire Marshals, their forensic team and other investigators to determine the cause.
Two GoFundMe campaigns have been set up in connection with the fire. One is for Brittany Marsh, who lost her fiancée and two children to cover the cost of their funerals along with giving her supplies to get her back on her feet. A second fundraiser was set up for two people who were able to get out of the building but lost everything in the fire. We have links to both campaigns posted on our website.
