Testimony resumes today in the trial of a Unity man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend.
Thomas Stanko is charged in the death of Cassandra Gross. Gross was reported missing in 2018 and, though her body has not been recovered, she has been declared legally dead. Stanko is charged with criminal homicide but denies any wrongdoing. Jurors on Friday heard testimony about what was found in a burn barrel during a search of Stanko’s property in 2018.
The contents included what investigators believe were bits of the victim’s eyeglasses and a medicine vial believed to have been for the victim’s dog.
