Criminal call hearings are scheduled for today for Indiana County’s Courts of Common Pleas.
One hearing on the schedule is for 23-year-old Patricia Ann Hullenbaugh of Indiana. She is charged in connection with the death of her infant child in 2024. Police say she told 911 that her child got stuck hanging out of his crib with his face in the mattress. She would later recant her story and told police that she smothered the child with a blanket. Hullenbaugh is charged with criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime, child endangerment, and strangulation.
Also due for a criminal call hearing today is 25-year-old Logan Penrose of Robinson, who is charged in connection with a fatal crash at the intersection of Forsythe Road and Route 259 on June 27th of last year. State police accident reconstruction teams determined that Penrose was driving a truck that crossed the center line and collided with an SUV. The crash killed Allen Fisher, Jr. of Bolivar, and injured another person. Penrose is charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, two other DUI counts along with three summary traffic counts.
Criminal Call is designed to update the court and the parties involved on the progress of a case. Proceedings are usually postponed to a later date, but on occasion, guilty pleas have been entered at the Criminal Call phase.
