A judge presiding over the homicide trial of Nathan Salem has ruled the defendant is now competent to stand trial in the killing of a Lower Burrell business owner.
Salem is charged with the December 2023 fatal shooting of Mogie’s Irish Pub owner David Magill. Salem had been declared incompetent to stand trial in 2024.
Salem is now expected to go on trial this fall on charges that include criminal homicide and first-degree murder.
