State police are looking to identify the suspect in incidents at two S&T Bank branches in Indiana County on Tuesday.
Troopers say on that day, a woman went to the S&T Bank on Resort Plaza Drive in Burrell Township at noon and tried to deposit a fraudulent $3700 check and was able to withdraw $5000 from the victim’s account using a fake ID card. She then posed as a different person at an S&T branch on East Philadelphia Street in Armagh Borough. Similar incidents have been reported in the areas of Altoona, Ebensburg and Gallitzin.
