Charges filed against a man accused of causing the overdose of a Pennsylvania state trooper are being dismissed.
State police conducted a stop on Robert Whitley Junior as part of a drug investigation after spotting him in the parking lot of a Delmont-area Walmart in 2024. The trooper reportedly overdosed after coming in contact with drugs allegedly found in Whitley’s vehicle. It has since been ruled that there was no probable cause to stop Whitley’s vehicle and so evidence seized at the scene has been found to be inadmissible.
With that charges related to the overdose have been thrown out.
