Meanwhile, the first of Mike Tomlin’s assistant coaches to leave the Steelers is special teams coach Danny Smith, who was hired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers yesterday.
And Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly reports that assistant general manager Andy Weidl is going to interview for the vacant general manager position with the Atlanta Falcons. Weidl is a McKeesport native who has been with the Steelers since 2022.
