The Steelers’ coaching search goes on, with now ex-Buffalo coach Sean McDermott potentially joining the field after his dismissal yesterday by the Bills. But the team is in no apparent hurry to make its choice.
The Steelers said yesterday they had conducted seven virtual interviews with candidates, and ESPN reports they will meet today with Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores. Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver will interview in person on Friday, according to The Athletic. Former Packers and Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is expected to interview in person this week as well.
One potential candidate, Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, was hired by the Dolphins yesterday. The Tennessee Titans hired 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh as their new head coach.

The Steelers’ Cam Heyward has been named an All-AFC defensive lineman by the Pro Football Writers of America. No Steelers were named All-NFL. The Broncos led with four players chosen All-NFL.
