Longtime Steeler Coach Danny Smith has been interviewed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their special teams coordinator spot. He has served in that post for the Steelers for the last 13 seasons as part of 25 years in the league. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has reported that many of the Steelers’ Assistant Coaches are no longer under contract, but Smith’s status is unknown.
The NFL divisional playoffs get underway today, and we’ll have coverage on WCCS starting at 3:30 as Westwood One sports presents Buffalo at Denver, followed by San Fransisco at Seattle. On Sunday, coverage starts at 2:00 PM with the Houston Texans taking on the New England Patriots, and the LA Rams against the Chicago Bears following that game.
