As we head into the weekend, the gas price wars continue in Indiana County.
The average cost of a gallon of gas for Indiana County this morning is $3.08, according to Triple-A. That’s five cents above the statewide average and a quarter higher than the national average. For the region, it’s one of the lower averages. The only county in the surrounding area that has a lower average is Jefferson County, where gas is at $3.03. Clearfield and Armstrong counties have the highest at $3.17.
Gas prices at many stations have gone up over the last few days, with many Sheetz locations at $3.19 a gallon. Some of the lower prices have been reported at the Kwik Fill in Homer City at $3.09 a gallon and Accent Fuels in both Brush Valley and Coral-Graceton at $2.84.
