GIRLS BASKETBALL
Another close call for Penns Manor, which comes up with its second straight two-point win, 36-34, over United. Katie Bertolino scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for the Comets. No one in double figures for United, which was led by freshman Emma Burda’s 9.
Marion Center took down Conemaugh Township, 59-39, with Macie Miller scoring 19, Averi Ruddock 13, and Alivia Ruddock getting another double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Cambria Heights answered a Homer-Center challenge in the third quarter and beat the Wildcats, 47-32. Kinley Rogal led the Highlanders with 24 points and Lilly Karlheim scored 11. For Homer-Center, Bekah Marshall scored 15.
Portage trailed River Valley, 14-8 at the half, but the Mustangs outran the Panthers by a score of 24-0 in the third quarter and held on for a 52-45 win. Kendall Bednarski and Mya Burda each scored 13 for Portage. Maddie Twincheck scored 15 and Alessia LaMantia and Kennedy Cole each had 13 for River Valley.

HOCKEY
Tyler Yount scored twice and Grayson Brunetto and Samuel Frich also scored as Indiana beat Richland, 4-2. Jake Jadzak stopped 26 shots in goal as Indiana improved to 6-9-1.
WRESTLING
West Branch beat Marion Center, 54-13. Griffin Tinsman, Tyler Phillips, and Carter Knox were all winners for the Stingers.
RIFLE
Indiana lost to Upper St. Clair by the thinnest of margins, 785-49x to 784-44x. Top shooters for Indiana were Emelia Campisano with a 100-8x, Sarah Genchur with a 100-7x and Hunter Williams with a 100-4x.
Portage was outshot by Chestnut Ridge, 1164-1289. The Mustangs’ leading shooters were Isabella Scarton (260), and Ana Selapack (249).
