Forward Rutger McGroarty returned to practice yesterday for the Penguins, but he remains in concussion protocol. He is on injured reserve and skated in a non-contact jersey.
The Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers play tonight at PPG Paints Arena. The Flyers lost to Buffalo last night, so they remain in a fourth-place tie with the Penguins in the Metro Division, two points behind the Capitals.
With right-handed defenseman Erik Karlsson on injured reserve, the team decided to promote left-hander Ryan Graves rather than righty Matt Dumba. Graves worked with another lefty, Brett Kulak, at practice yesterday, with Kulak on the right side. Coach Dan Muse says Graves has been playing very well at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Airtime tonight on 92.5 FM U92 is 6 o’clock, with faceoff shortly after 7.
