A former Trump administration adviser with ties to Western PA has been named the President and Vice Chairperson of Meta.
The parent company of Facebook announced Dina Powell McCormick, the wife of US Senator Dave McCormick, was appointed to those positions. She had joined Meta’s board last April but resigned her post in December. In her new role, Powell McCormick will serve as a member of the company’s management team and will help guide its strategy and execution. Prior to joining Meta, she previously served as deputy national security adviser to President Trump and served under Condoleezza Rice during George W. Bush’s presidency.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg says her experience and deep relationships around the world makes her “uniquely suited” to be the company’s President and Vice Chairman. President Trump also offered his congratulations in a post on Truth Social Media, saying that she served the Trump administration with “strength and distinction”.
