The White Township Planning Commission will meet tonight and could formally approve a plan for a Chick-Fil-A restaurant on the former Rustic Lodge property.
According to the plans presented to the commission at their planning meeting last week, the 4,565 square-foot property will sit at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Rustic Lodge Road, and will contain 64 parking spaces and have enough room to seat 82 people. The plans also show details on drive-through service. One part of the plan is to make sure that drive-through traffic does not back out onto Rustic Lodge Road. Officials with Colliers Engineering, the company hired by Chick-Fil-A to act as their engineers, say that they want to hit the ground running on construction as soon as they get all their permits.
The meeting is set for 6:30 tonight at the White Township Municipal Building.
