The owners of Value City Furniture are shutting down all of the chain’s remaining stores.
Representatives with American Signature Incorporated say closing sales will continue as inventory is liquidated as part of the bankruptcy process. The original Value City Department Stores brand was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1917 before Value City Furniture was established in the late 1940’s.
There are a handful of stores in Western Pennsylvania, including those in Cranberry Township, Monroeville, Pittsburgh, and Robinson Township.
