The two coaches in next Monday’s NCAA College Football National Championship game held their initial news conferences yesterday. Former IUP coach Curt Cignetti’s Indiana Hoosiers will face off with the Miami Hurricanes.
Cignetti says he is preparing his team the same way this week as he does any other week.
The coach says he has great assistant coaches, some of whom have been with him for many years, such as his defensive coordinator Bryant Haines and offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan, who started with him at IUP.
The national title game is next Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
IUP
Offensive lineman Joe Enick has announced that he is transferring from Saint Francis to IUP. The 6-2, 288 pounder from Penn-Trafford High School started his college career at Central Michigan, then transferred to St. Francis after one season. With the Red Flash slated to drop from Division One to Division Three, he will jump to IUP and be a redshirt junior.
