A trial date is being set for the adoptive mother of a Westmoreland County boy whose death — prosecutors say — was the result of torture.
Prosecutors claim Lauren and Jacob Maloberti of Delmont emotionally abused and physically beat their five-year-old son prior to his death in February of 2023. The Malobertis are to be tried separately.
Jury selection in the murder trial of Lauren Maloberti is scheduled to begin May 4th.
