As the Homer City Redevelopment project looms in the distance, the Homer-Center School District is preparing for any potential impact from the project.
Superintendent Ralph Cecere was asked if the district had reached out to any outside entities with legal expertise to help protect the district’s interests. He said that their solicitor has someone on his staff connected with a similar project nearby.
With the construction phase of the project expected to bring more people to the area, Cecere says that the district is doing what they can to prepare for a boost in population.
While Cecere says he has been happy with the communication between the district and the county and Homer City Redevelopment, he feels communication could improve between the district and Center Township.
