Today’s Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas schedule is filled with mostly criminal call hearings. One of them is for a woman charged with smothering her infant child in 2024.
Court documents show that Patricia Ann Hullenbaugh of Indiana is due for her hearing today in front of President Judge Thomas Bianco. She faces charges of criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime, child endangerment, and strangulation. Police said she called 911 to report that her child had stopped breathing and claimed that he was hanging out of his crib with his face in the mattress. She later admitted to smothering the child with a blanket.
Also due for a criminal call hearing today is Charles Waller of Dixonville. He is charged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment for an incident on June 18th of last year. State police say a verbal altercation between Waller and the victim turned physical when he shoved her to the ground and strangled her.
Criminal Call is designed to update the court and the parties involved on the progress of a case. Proceedings are usually postponed to a later date, but on occasion, guilty pleas have been entered at the Criminal Call phase.
