BOYS BASKETBALL
Indiana is 9-3, 3-1 in their section after beating Armstrong, 51-42. Aaron Webb scored 13 points, with Darius Webb and Drew Brocious each scoring 12.
Homer-Center scored an impressive road win, using a swarming defense to take control of their game with Marion Center in the first quarter and stretching a 10-point lead into a 67-48 win, thanks to a 28-13 edge in the third quarter. Nash Budner led the way for the Wildcats with 16 points, while Joey Kosmack added 12 and Ethan Palmer 10. For the Stingers, Hayden Fox scored 10.
West Shamokin was all over Purchase Line, 65-32. Alex Talmadge hit five threes for the Wolves and finished with 29 points.
Northern Cambria topped Portage in a key Heritage Conference East matchup, 43-38. The Colts were led by Luke Blickenderfer’s 12 points, and Malik Fox added 11. For the Mustangs, Llehson Walker had 17.
Conemaugh Valley tripped up Cambria Heights, 51-47.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Penns Manor is 11-1 after building a 12-point halftime lead and stretching it into a 57-37 win over Brookville, which fell to 6 -4. Clara Henry scored 17 for the Comets and Katie Bertolino added 9, with 8 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Teagan Boston scored 8.
A nice win for Portage, which knocked off 8-3 Northern Bedford, 58-49. The 6-5 Mustangs’ Kendall Bednarski poured in four three-pointers on her way to 23 points to lead all scorers.
RIFLE
Indiana beat Penn Trafford in their section opener, 791-40x to 781-35x. Top shooters for Indiana were Gavin Dicken and Hunter Williams with a 100-8x and Emelia Campisano with a 100-7x.
