A long-time member and chief of the Indiana Fire Association has died.
Charles R. Kelly passed away on Friday. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and served in the Indiana Borough Police Department as a patrol officer, retiring in December of 2001. He joined the Indiana Fire Association in 1974 and worked his way through the ranks and served as chief for 19 years. He also worked part-time with Citizen’s Ambulance as an EMT.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker funeral home in Indiana. Kelly was 80.
