Three people were sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court. They included a Homer City man who pleaded guilty to two counts of assault.
Court documents show 43-year-old Brian Schreckengost of Homer City entered the guilty pleas in connection with an incident on November 3rd of 2024. President Judge Thomas Bianco ordered him to serve two years of probation, including three months of house arrest with electronic monitoring for each count. The sentences will run concurrently.
Also sentenced yesterday for a guilty plea of simple assault was Tyler Walker, a 31-year-old from Pittsburgh. Walker will also serve two years of probation, and 45 days of house arrest. That sentence was handed down by Judge Gina Force.
The third case was for 38-year-old Kyle Cantrell, an inmate at SCI-Pine Grove in Indiana County who entered a guilty plea to a charge of inmate procuring a weapon. For that charge, he will serve five months to two years in the state prison system.
