As a cold front hits our area, it’s going to trigger two weather advisories for our area.
Western Pennsylvania is currently under a wind advisory until 1:00 tomorrow morning. Winds from 15 to 30 miles an hour are expected, along with gusts of up to 50 miles an hour. That will blow around unsecured items, and could bring down tree limbs and cause power outages.
On top of that, temperatures are expected to fall to 26 by around 3:00 PM and a low of 19 tonight. That will be enough to trigger a winter weather advisory for the upper elevations of Indiana County and Westmoreland County from 1:00 PM this afternoon to 1:00 PM tomorrow. Three-to-five inches of snow is expected, but snow bands could produce higher totals, and is expected to reduce visibility and impact travel.
