The Cadet Restaurant, in Kittanning, is permanently closing this week.
Owners of the eatery say Wednesday will be their last day in operation. The Cadet is known for its “Poorboy” cheeseburger and for the 30-foot-tall fiberglass cowboy in the parking lot.
The business was called The Owl’s Nest when it first opened in 1952.
