A reminder for eligible Pennsylvania residents: the deadline to apply for the Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program is December 31st.
The program provides financial relief to older adults and people with disabilities who paid property taxes or rent in 2024. Eligible applicants could receive rebates of up to one-thousand dollars, with additional supplemental rebates available for some residents.
To qualify, applicants must be 65 or older, widows or widowers age 50 and up, or individuals with disabilities age 18 or older. Household income must be forty-six-thousand, five-hundred-twenty dollars or less, not counting half of Social Security income.
Applications can be submitted online, by mail, or in person. Help is also available by calling 1-888-222-9190, or by contacting a local state lawmaker’s office for assistance with applying.
