Robert M. Simpson, 79, of Indiana, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025 at his home.
Robert was the husband of the late Judith C. Simpson, who passed away in 2022.
Born in Indiana on Sept. 17, 1946, Robert was the son of the late Robert. C. and Mildred Lucile (Neal) Simpson.
Robert received his associate’s degree and then worked in the centralized maintenance department and as a welder for the Homer City Powerplant for over 40 years. In his free time, Bob loved all things hunting. He enjoyed the annual family vacation to the Outer Banks and also enjoyed all things that involved his grandchildren. He was a very proud Pap. Bob was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg for many years.
Left to cherish his memory are two daughters: Missie Ruddock of Rayne Twp.; and Suzie Simpson, of Indiana; sister, Bonnie Kurcsics and husband Frank, of Indiana; five grandchildren: Nathan Ruddock, Alicia Ruddock, Averi Ruddock, Bryce Chiodini and Cecilia Chiodini. He will also be missed by his German Shepherd, Annie. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Judy Simpson, whom he married on August 29, 1969; brother, Bill Simpson; sister, Becky Simpson and son-in-law, Billy Ruddock.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 36 N 7th St., Indiana, with Pastor John Manon officiating. Interment will be at Ridge View Cemetery in Elders Ridge, Young Twp.
