From the US National Weather Service
The duration and amount of freezing rain in the white oval, including Pittsburgh, will depend on how quickly warm air advances. If warm air filters in quicker: we warm and changeover to rain earlier, leaving lower impacts and totals. If warm air advances more slowly: a more prolonged period of freezing rain unfolds and impacts and totals ramp up.
Remember: Any amount of ice can make travel hazardous. Travel in the counties under an Ice Storm Warning, including along and near I-80, will be difficult and dangerous. Areas inside the Ice Storm Warning can also see downed trees and power outages.
