A Westmoreland County judge is affirming a preliminary injunction to keep the New Kensington Elks Lodge closed.
The Westmoreland County D.A.’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Enforcement had called for the move after a deadly shooting at the scene earlier this month. District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli says that more than thirty incidents — some involving violence and firearms — have been reported at the lodge in the last three years.
With Monday’s order, the lodge will remain closed through at least February.
