A 19-year-old Morrisdale man is being held without bail after state police say he attacked a pregnant woman and threatened to kill her and another person during a domestic incident in Cooper Township.
WTAJ News reports, Ezekiel James Mayhew faces felony aggravated assault and several misdemeanor charges after troopers allege he punched the woman in the stomach, knowing she was four months pregnant, trapped her in a bedroom with a brick and made recorded threats to kill the victim, a witness and himself.
Mayhew surrendered without incident when police arrived and later told troopers he “blacked out” during the altercation. Bail was denied Dec. 19, with a judge citing concerns for the victim.
