State police have released details on a crash that happened Friday in West Wheatfield Township. The incident was reported at 12:13 PM on Mulligan Hill Road just south of Gamble Road. An SUV driven by 21-year-old Cade Krouse of Robinson hit a patch of ice and slid across the left lane, off the road and strike a mailbox and dumpster in what police called “an angled collision.” The impact forced the dumpster to hit a camper behind it. The SUV was disabled and had to be towed. No injuries were reported.
A Pittsburgh man could face DUI charges for an incident early Sunday morning in White Township. State police conducted a traffic stop at 1:01 AM on Route 119 in White Township. The suspect, identified only as a 41-year-old Pittsburgh man, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody. He submitted to a breathalyzer test at the state police barracks in Indiana before being released to a sober adult.
