The Westmoreland County D.A.’s Office is calling for the closure of a New Kensington Elks lodge.
The 3rd Avenue establishment was the scene of a deadly shooting earlier this month. District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli says that more than thirty incidents — some involving violence and firearms — have been reported at the lodge in the last three years.
Ziccarelli and Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Enforcement are filing an emergency injunction with the courts to temporarily close the lodge.
