The Steelers have ruled out edge rusher Nick Herbig from playing in today’s game in Detroit. Herbig suffered another hamstring injury in last week’s game against Miami. He would have stepped in for TJ Watt, who is also out today with a lung injury. Rookie Jack Sawyer will start on the left edge opposite Alex Highsmith on the right.
Guard Isaac Seumalo is also out with a triceps injury, and cornerback James Pierre will miss his second straight game with a calf injury.
The team says long snapper Christian Kuntz will play after being listed as questionable for most of the week. He has a knee injury.
Offensive lineman Jack Driscoll and cornerback Daryl Porter have been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for today.
