Teddy Bear Fund Drive donation week wrapped up on Friday with the biggest one-day total of the week.
On Friday, the community came together and donated $8504 to the fund drive, bringing the week long total to $28,256. This included donations of $640 by The Hair Studio in Indiana, $1500 from First Commonwealth Bank and $500 from Homer-Center Elementary Students. Throughout the week, volunteers were stationed at the intersection of 7th and Philadelphia Streets in Downtown Indiana, while our broadcasts emanated from the front window of The 700 Shop. Luxenberg’s Jewelers also offered the annual collectable Teddy Bear for a $20 donation.
Renda Media General Manager Mark Bertig thanked everyone involved.
Now in it’s 47th year, the Teddy Bear Fund Drive is Renda Media’s charitable effort to raise money for local pediatric causes. 80% of the money goes towards child health care at Indiana Regional Medical Center and the rest goes to the Free Care Fund of Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
If you still wish to make a contribution to the Teddy Bear Fund Drive, you can do so by mailing your contribution to Renda Media, 840 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA 15701. Make your check out to “The Teddy Bear Fund Drive”.
