The National Weather Service has put a wind advisory into effect for our area until midnight tonight.
Strong wind gusts ranging from 35 to 45 miles per hour are expected today, as well as a passing cold front. Along with the wind, temperatures are expected to quickly fall bel0w freezing. The NWS says that roads, bridges, parking lots, sidewalks, and other untreated surfaces that are still wet from the recent rain and snowmelt may freeze, leading to patches of black ice.
They ask anyone traveling in these conditions to stay alert and be aware of your surroundings.
