Sentencing hearings are scheduled today for Indiana County’s court of common pleas.
While many hearings have to deal with DUI charges, there will be a few other cases on the docket. One of them is for 43-year-old Joshua Stumpf of Indiana for a case that goes back to 2022. He and Charles Wilcox of Northern Cambria were arrested in May of 2022 after an investigation into drug sales at a home on Philadelphia Street. Task force members found suspected heroin/fentanyl along with items to pack and sell the drugs inside a wall clock with a fake face on it. The search also turned up $4000 in cash, a shotgun and cell phones used to coordinate the drug sales.
Stumpf pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Wilcox is awaiting a trial that is scheduled to begin January 26th.
Also due in court today is 39-year-old Shannon Shaffor of Indiana, who pleaded guilty to a single count of child endangerment for an incident on September 17th of last year.
