At their meeting Wednesday afternoon, the White Township Supervisors approved their budget for 2026.
The budget details revenues at $9,582,204, with expenditures at $10,950,191. While there is a deficit in those numbers, Township Manager Chris Anderson says that they have some funds set aside that will offset it.
The spending plan also holds the line on taxes for township residents, but other fees will increase. This includes the recycling and the stormwater maintenance fees, which will increase to $4 dollars per month and $3 per ERU (equivalent residential unit), respectively.
Anderson says this is the first they’ve had to raise those fees in a long time.
Those fee increases will become effective January 1st.
In other business, the supervisors approved removing the parking ordinance for Josephine Avenue, allowing visitors to Kennedy King Park to park alongside the street.
